Each day when Noah and I pick up Cole from preschool, we park in the lot and walk down the long sidewalk just the two of us. We are usually quiet and tired, both of us at the end of our school day. But yesterday, he took my hand and I started to skip which he was quick to join in. He started giggling and this HUGE smile spread across his face. There we were skipping and holding hands in the bright autumn, late afternoon sun. Like a dream, completely spontaneous. He said one sentence..."I just know this is gonna be my favorite part of today.
